Thomas M. Buzbee, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and did his internship and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Buzbee is board certified in Internal Medicine and he promotes and lectures nationally on preventative medicine. During his leisure time, you can find Dr. Buzbee working in his backyard garden, working out at the gym or spending time with his active family.
Chris Williams, PA-C, received his Master’s degree from Texas Tech University in 2001. Since 2001, he has worked in pulmonology, acute care and internal medicine, and is a valued member of the Tyler Internal Medicine team. Chris was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. He is married and has two wonderful boys. His hobbies include playing golf, going on vacation with his family riding four wheelers and being active in his church.
Melisia Martin, FNP-C, Family Nurse Practitioner received her nursing degree from UT Tyler in 1997. After obtaining nursing experience in a Level 1 trauma center ER, she obtained her Master’s degree from Texas Tech in 2004. She is Board certified by the American academy of Nurse Practitioner. Since 2004, she has worked in urgent care, primary care and medically underserved patient populations. Melisia lives in Bullard with her husband and three children. She enjoys riding 4 wheelers, traveling and is an active member of her church.
Robin Villena, FNP-C graduated as an RN in 2003, received her BSN degree through Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX and in 2014 received her Family Nurse Practitioner degree through the University of Texas at Tyler. Her past clinical experience involves working as a charge nurse on a medical-surgical unit and as a staff nurse in the Trauma ICU at TMFH. Subsequently, she worked in an outpatient setting as a registered nurse. Robin is a native of East Texas and has two beautiful children and a loving husband. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and leisure time at the lake. Her compassionate nursing skills complement her clinical approach and patient outcomes.
Margaret R. Hayden
Margaret R. Hayden, M.D. received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She received her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas and Internal Medicine residency at Ochsner Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Hayden practiced Internal Medicine in Irving, Texas for eight years before relocating to Tyler in 2001. Dr. Hayden sees patients age 15-115. Her special interests include wellness, women’s health, menopause management and prevention and treatment of medical diseases. Dr. Hayden is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Her hobbies include jogging, sewing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Meagan received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2013. She then worked as an RN in an acute medical-surgical and cardiac unit for 2 years; subsequently, she practiced for 2 years in day surgery with dialysis patients. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2016. She is from East Texas and enjoys spending time in the outdoors, hiking and camping. She is also an active member of her church. Meagan is married and has a supportive husband and 2 dachshunds. Meagan has a compassionate and kind approach to patient care and loves helping others.
D. Michael Park
D. Michael Park, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Park interned at Baylor University and finished his residency at Louisiana State University. He practiced emergency medicine for two years, one year of psychotherapy training at the University of Colorado Medical Center and completed an Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Arizona under Dr. Andrew Weil. Dr. Park was the Chief of Internal Medicine at ETMC. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is certified in Anti-Aging Regenerative Medicine as well as Integrative Medicine and Nutrition. Dr. Park has been in private practice in Tyler since 1982 and is an original founder of TIMA. He enjoys music, exercise, dance, traveling and spending time with his daughter Emily and his two dogs, Luke and Dollie.
Renea Howard, ACNP, graduated from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas in 2009. She is board certified by American Nurses Credentialing Center. She obtained her Bachelors of Science in 1997 and her Masters of Science in 2007 from the University of Texas at Tyler. She was born in Denver City, Texas and moved to East Texas area when she was five. She is married with four children. Renea enjoys spending time with her family, volleyball, softball and gardening.
Sandee Volatile, NP-C received her Master’s degree in nursing from Wilmington University in 1995. She is Board certified by the American Nurse Credentialing and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Over the past 15 years, she has worked in various practice settings including Internal Medicine, Gynecology, and Acute Care. Sandee and her family relocated from the Eastern Shore to Tyler in 2007. She is married to Dr. Thomas Volatile and they have 5 children between them. She volunteers with AFS Intercultural Program and in her spare time, she enjoys time with her family, traveling and playing tennis.
Amy K. Simpson
Amy K. Simpson, M.D. a native of East Texas, received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She spent her internship and residency at St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Simpson worked in private practice in Irving, Texas before returning to her roots here in East Texas. She is an advocate of women’s wellness and specializes in the management of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Simpson is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her hobbies include music, travel, gardening and writing. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
Ramiro Villena, M.D. is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and received his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1998. He served his Internal Medicine residency at the Brooklyn Hospital Medical Center, affiliated with the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Dr. Villena is fluent in both English and Spanish. Before becoming a physician, Dr. Villena pitched for the National Argentine baseball team and now enjoys playing the saxophone and spending time with his loving wife and two children.
Dr. Saurette is a Family Medicine Physician who has been serving the Tyler community for over 10 years.
